Production and post for the whole show, two years running
The brief
Record and cut a TEDx conference end to end, through Visible Impact, the production company running the event. Not a camera on the back wall: every talk needed to survive as its own film, and the day needed a highlights cut that would carry the event to the people who had not been in the room.
What we ran
A conference is the one event shape with no second take. Fourteen talks, a panel and a run of vox pops, all of it happening once, to a schedule set by somebody else — which is why the camera masters run to five files and one of them is labelled CAM 2. Multi-camera is not a luxury on a stage day; it is what stops a talk being lost to one operator's reframe, and it is what makes an edit possible at all when the only coverage you will ever have is the coverage you got. In 2023 the show came back as four session masters; in 2024, as five and a second camera.
Post
Post is the larger half of this job and it is where the two years show. Every talk was cut as an individual film — fourteen of them in 2024, delivered as nineteen files because four went to a second and third version — and then the highlights reel was built across three cuts between the first and the seventh of November, three weeks after the show. A revision round sits after the delivery folder, which is what an event edit actually looks like: the talks are the archive, the highlights film is the thing that gets argued over.

Result
They came back the following year and we ran it again. On an event that happens once a year, being asked a second time is the whole review — there is no partial credit for a conference that was half covered.
